In 2019 Daniël started karting at a competitive level with PDB Racing Team. He participated in three Dutch championships in 2019 and won the Dutch championship in the GK4 Junior National category while ranking 9th in the NK IAME X30 Dutch Championship. Prior to that, Daniël participated in rental kart activities including the Dutch Rental Karts Championship and trained at the Uithof in The Hague.
Racing is Daniël’s passion and he is happy to have upgraded from competitive karting to Formula 4. “I find it very exciting, it's a huge step and I have had to adapt to the new car immediately. I am ready to take on this challenge."
Daniël was ecstatic after joining the FFSA French national Formula 4 championship in 2020. Due to the corona crisis the start of the season, which was supposed to take place in March, was postponed until August 21st – 23rd when Daniël participated in his first Formula 4 race in Nogaro in France.
Taking part in the GK4 Dutch National Junior Championship, X30NL and X30BNL in 2019, the talented teen showed his class to become the GK4 Dutch Junior National champion.
